Child Stardom, than what?

Been there, now its gone.

I’ve been there, i've had my stardom. As a child I grew up on set. I played a character on an Australian soap called Home and Away. I started when I was 3 years old and my role ended at the age of 9.

So what comes of something like this?     My life was significantly different than the "norm" while I was on the show. I was never treated the same, I was always looked at and also teased in my schooling for being the "Home and Away" guy. Jealousy played a big part in this teasing from my peers but there was nothing that I can do, I was just a young boy who did not understand what these people had against me. I grew up on the set and I knew no different. Now I am 18 and I still have a passion for acting but I realise the field is not easy to break into especially after leaving the industry 9 years ago. After my role on the show ended my mother moved and we were located too far away from the city which meant it was impossible for me to attend auditions. Imp now at the age that I can take the initiative and get back in to it on my own two feet. It’s odd though, I still get labeled as I did as a young kid and although I don’t get reconised anymore, wherever I go my reputation still follows me and i am quite often judged far before anyone ever gets too know me.  But I will strive on, I am not the type of person to get shutdown by others and one day I will succeed to the places I would like to go and I will experience satisfaction that nothing else can match.
